Artist books: 2000 to date

A to Z
It was nice being asked at a wedding dinner in 1998 if I’d be interested in making an edition of an artist book for a millennium project called Inside Cover (supported by the Arts Council). Of course I said yes and that was the beginning of my art practice.

A to Z was first exhibited in 2000, touring the UK, Europe and the USA for five years. Copies are in the V&A, Tate and a number of other collections.

I have continued making artist books (often in collaboration), almost every year since then. The alphabet theme has endured, with the occasional venture off piste.
