It was originally a two year course but the tutors decided to offer an experimental third year, which due to lockdown would be online with occasional studio access. I opted for just the first term and they kindly let me only take the three studio sessions.
I had just started thinking about my First Words in Dalston audio and visual project, that invites people to submit the first sentences of books which are then installed on 250m of hoarding. The studio access gave me the opportunity to paint – something I don’t really do. So I painted sentences.
